Pet Insurance - Where to get Started
We know that pets are also our family members, and often even our children! However, they often get into unexpected trouble and we want them to get the best care possible. Therefore, we invite you to consider getting pet insurance for them. There is a 33% chance of your pet becoming injured or ill each year and a 92% change that they may need veterinary care at least once in their lifetime. Pet insurance can make this time less costly and less stressful for you as you are making decisions about your pet. Don't forget, it's not only for puppies and kittens - you can get plans for adult pets as well!
There are many different plans available, so we've sorted some of them out for you. Please know that this is not a comprehensive list by any means, but merely ones that we have researched and have earned our stamp of approval (and several of our clients as well!).
Things to know about pet insurance:
- There are companies that offer only accident/illness plans and some offer both accident/illness and wellness plans.
- Pre-exisiting conditions are not covered
- Some companies offer an annual deductible and some offer a per incident deductible
- Watch out for any limits that the company may have - per year, per incident
